More Flowers

More flowers please. I've got a commission for a valentines bouquet and so have been working on more of these, thought i'd share a quick couple images. I use sketch book paper, gouache paints, and bamboo skewers to make these.
they look great in any simple container, I used a spool of yarn and a little empty mayo jar.

How long does it take for you to make one bouquet? They look great. The most complex shape I've every created with paper was an airplane that couldn't fly.

thanks Josh,
time they take to make depends on two things; complexity of the design, and how focused i am on a given day. the tulip shape (top pic) goes more quickly and i can make a bouquet of 30 small ones in two-three days. the orchids (here there are 36) take a bit longer so to make a bouquet takes 4 to 5 days. (this is including painting time). i'm glad you like, i'm looking into selling them on Etsy within the next week or so, so check back here for a link to my shop if you would be interested in purchasing.

p.s. if you buy from my shop in the future, i promise i'll send you instructions for how to make an airplane that WILL fly...

SO excited that you're getting these up on Etsy! YAY!

I absolutely adore the red and white orchids, Laura. They are simply beautiful.

And I also love the red sailboats behind the white tulips. Is that another big piece of fabric? Where from?

Again, the flowers are amazing. I can't wait to hear how it goes once you start selling them.
