Alchemy

So I've both bought and sold using Alchemy on Etsy, and am loving it as a new tool. I think it could still use a little work to make it a bit more user friendly, but overall it's great! Several weeks ago I placed a request for a Tea Sampler and got a few bids. Today I received 2 of the 3 packages; I'm still waiting on 1 from Malasia (btw, how cool is that?!). I have to highlight seller TokaTeas, who sent me the sampler above. WOW!! Just the smell upon opening the envelope was enough to get my mouth watering. When I started this posting I had a brewed cup of the Lapsang Souchon in hand, and it is already finished. SO GOOD. If you like tea; support this seller.
Below you see some items I picked up at the English Market today after a nice long walk along the Lee. I seriously can not say enough great things about the market. I love having a big market that I can walk into daily to pick up fresh foods. I was a little intimidated at the thought of interacting with the sellers when I first went, having moved here from the states, I was very used to minimal interaction thanks to grocery stores. Now I'm officially a convert; it's nice to see the familiar faces, to have someone suggesting a new cheese to try and telling you where it came from. It's easier to find out the origins of your food this way too. Most importantly, it is a pleasure to have such *FRESH* food at your fingertips, everyday of the week but sunday. I'm sure I'll post more about the English Market in the future, but for now, I've got some Artichokes to cook and some Sultana Loaf to toast.... mmmmm..... my taste buds are soaring today!!
