A little before and after.. *UPDATED*

*So we finally have internet in the new place YAY! So I added these additional pictures so you can really see the before and after of this project. I really enjoyed doing this!*
So we've moved in to the new place and have begun the process of putting our stuff in to some semblance of organization. I realize (yet again) that I have too many clothes and really need to go through it all and get rid of more (even though I feel like I did a pretty good job of that before I moved over here). I love love love our new place; more space, better layout, high ceilings and an AWESOME shower (this is pretty hard to come by here). Best of all it's less expensive and closer to Bub's work.
I've been working on developing a work space in the new place. Truth be told, my work space usually ends up on every horizontal surface of the apartment, but I needed a long table space for pattern drafting. The apartment's sole table is a coffee table, so this was going to be a fun budget DIY project. Found a perfect length and thickness of particle board at the DIY store; edged it in duct tape and turned this little nook into the perfect space that might otherwise have gone unused. It's a great height and thus easy on my back and there is a skylight in the hall so it gets great light during the day too. :)
(The lovely lady hanging over the banister was a present from my awesome Dad from the Brooklyn Museum of Art.)
In other news, I apologize for the break in blogging; we haven't yet had internet set up in the new place, but should have it by mid of next week (I hope! I hope!). My camera also finally died for good, boooo; I've been using Bub's but it doesn't have a zoom or macro function that I need, so I'll be looking into getting a new one. Any advice would be welcome.
