Well, I wouldn't consider myself particularly tech-savvy, but today I was doing a little research on open-source software (read: FREE), particularly alternatives to the oh-so pricey Adobe Photoshop. I really want a tool with more functionality than iPhoto. I've settled on GIMP. It was a little bit of a process figuring out the requirements I needed (I'm on a Mac, so I needed X11) but after discovering Wilber Loves Apple it was fairly straightforward from there. So here you have it, a very simple photo collage using my new program. And yes, I payed a whopping $0.00 for this. For your use:
