What to post about...

Not really sure what to write about today and to be honest have felt quite scatterbrained lately with moving and and catching up on all the etsy business and such. I've also been doing some volunteering this week to help with the art gallery set up for LadyFestCork. Mostly painting walls which was pretty messy and labor intensive but enjoyable nonetheless; figured it would also be a good way to get to know some other people in the arts here. I am excited about the lineup of events this weekend for the Festival, namely the belly-dancing and yoga classes on Saturday; never tried belly dancing before so really thrilled about that. Oh that actually reminds me; my friend UmaIma is honing her henna tattooing skills so I volunteered my back for practice. I think she did a brilliant job. I love the idea of body painting in general. I got almost all of my body spray painted once before for a costume party and that was totally wicked (I'll have to try to remember to post it at some point), but I'm intrigued by the cultural aspect of it as well. I love the temporary adornment aspect of it, it's potential as symbolism, or it's use within ceremony.
Well, I suppose I did have something to post about after all....
The art gallery opens tonight so I'll try to get some pics to share with you although can't be certain how they'll turn out with the temporary camera.
