My Fingers Hurt!

And for good reason. I've been crocheting with thin antique metal threads. I'm working on some side panels of a wedding dress for my dear friend Kate, who will be getting married in October. She chose a beautiful non traditional color for her dress as you can see beneath the crochet work. It defies description, because, well, iridescent-champagne-peach just doesn't do it justice.
Despite the pain in my unpracticed fingers, I'm truly enjoying the hand work and learning this new skill; it is what I love and the precise reason why I left the corporate world. I need to work with my hands.
But enough about me; I look forward to showing you sneak peaks of Kate's dress as it comes together. Here's a toast to sneak peak #1!
