They Are All Interconnected

self portrait, fitzgerald park, dec 16 2008

This morning i had a thought, well actually i had a LOT of thoughts (and not just this morning of course, every day, all day and sometimes night, but i digress...).
I started journaling every morning starting a few weeks ago with no particular goal other than to observe what happens (after reading Basic Tools on the Artist's Way website). And it is really striking how even when i stare at that first blank page everyday thinking, "what on earth am I going to write about?" somehow the words just come tumbling out of my head, stream-of-consciousness style, and before you know it three pages are full.

Today while I was writing my thoughts, I had this observation:
All manner of random thoughts are firing off from my brain in different directions--> what I'm wondering is, how many of them are exploding and scattering destruction in a hundred mile radius of where they land, and which ones are nourishing rain, fostering growth, not only in one place but many...
Experience tells me, now matter how random my thoughts appear, they are interconnected, and the more I encourage and act on positive thoughts the benefits are tenfold. And the same goes with negative thoughts, when I question the truth of them instead of letting them infect my dreams. As always its a work in progress, but a good ground to start from and I wanted to share it with you.
Have a lovely day.

That's something to think about. If we all really took the time to identify our positive and negative thoughts and only follow the good... I may have to try that. Happy Birthday soon!
