craving collaboration.

let's begin with some questions that I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on:

how do you create creative dialogues when you don't have them in the physical sense? is anyone interested in doing this, trying something? long-distance creative collaboration?

collaboration. i crave it. of the creative kind. a kindred spirit in wacky crafts. i do know a few, the trouble is, they are half a world away. and today i miss them so. i don't feel very brave about reaching out sometimes, and i also don't really know how to find what i'm looking for. but, i am interested in action.

in the spirit of Havi's personal ads:

Here's what I want:

It's sort of two fold; project + people.
A Creative Collaboration Project with one person or a SMALL group of people(definitely no more than 10).

This person (or people) could be anywhere in the world (as long as they have a reliable form of contacting me, aka the internet), and will be excited about brainstorming and making authentic creative connections.

The project will be a short term commitment, but it won't feel like a commitment, it will feel like FUN. and it will feel like a conversation. and it might even result in some good friendships.

It will be FREE and will require only the use of what you already have.

Here's how it could happen:

The right person or people could be reading this post and get in touch with me and we'll brainstorm a wicked cool project.

OR someone reading this post could think of someone they know who would be interested (or who is doing something that sounds like this) and put them in touch with me.

OR i could discover that someone i already know here in Cork would be into this and a lightbulb will go off in my head or theirs and it will all happen organically...

OR i could come up with a totally AMAZING project and tell people about it and then they'll get involved.

OR some other cool way I haven't thought of...

My commitment:
I will share my positive creative energy, my optimism, my feedback.
I will engage in the conversation wholeheartedly and appreciate what is given back.
I will laugh and enjoy the process and let the result be what it may.

I'm here from Havi's blog. I'm lacking creative people in my life right now, and although I'm nervous about collaborations (what if I'm not good enough at being creative? what if I'm not creative in the right ways) this sounds really exciting. I'd love to be involved.

Hey Kara,
nothing specific yet, totally open to suggestions, but i'm brainstorming; i'm thinking maybe a swap?
coming up with a theme and a time length...

This is totally awesome and sounds so much fun! I always love the idea of collaboration and swaps although I'm always nervous about such things.
Do i shoot you an email if i would like to be involved?
Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!
