Oh the AUDACITY! (planning a creative retreat... IN MOROCCO!)

my monsters are seriously freaked the heck out!
i've decided I'm going to plan a creative retreat in Morocco in 2011 for 10 amazing women (whoever they may be). There is a monster that is tap tap tapping, and whispering "you are totally insane for thinking you can do this..." but mostly the monsters are so shocked that they are sitting in a corner with their jaws on the floor.
you see, yesterday i read this post by a blogger who i've been reading for over two years now. A woman who had a dream about setting up a guesthouse in Marrakesh and through ups and downs and everything in between, has MADE it happen. and it is so gorgeous, in fact I remember the very first time I read the blog thinking oh man that would be the most wonderful place to go on a retreat. And then, yesterday, she writes at the bottom of her post:
Um. Yes. I didn't even think about it, I just wrote to her. I said I didn't know how or when, but I wanted to plan a retreat there.
And holy mother of god, she wrote back.
And you know what? I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do something I have ABSOLUTELY no qualifications or experience to do. I'm gonna plan a banging kick ass creative retreat in Morocco in 2011.
Here's what I know about it right now: it's going to be about exploration, hand-crafting, creativity, self-care, and wholeness. And it will be magical.
P.S. This is a baby idea. To me, it is precious and fragile and the most beautiful bit of potential I've ever seen. At this point, I'm not interested in hearing words of caution or suggestions that this is a stupid idea. However, I would be delighted it if you would like to share in my joy and excitement about this!

I think it's a fantastic idea! Darick was so inspired by our trip to Morocco. It has bled into all of the work he has done since then. I hope it does the same for you!

I just discovered your beautiful jewelry and stunning coral dress and now I'm so happy to have also discovered your blog. My feet are perpetually itchy so I spend most of my time figuring out where I can go next. LOVE your creative retreat in Morocco idea and can't wait to see how it materializes. Have found that the most important part of making a trip happen is deciding it will. Everything else will fall into place after that! Go for it!!
